Nelson VICmaths Foundation Mathematics
Nikki M Group provided Cengage Learning Australia with book packaging – a complete publication service. We developed multiple VICmaths titles from manuscript to print. We provided editorial, illustration and typesetting services.
The student book provides access to Nelson MindTap, an online learning resource, which provides students with customised learning experiences. MindTap is a valuable tool for teachers to tailor content to different needs and monitor student progress.

Nikki M Group provided editorial services for eight Student Books in the Nelson VICmaths 11–12 series. This included copyediting, proofreading, answer-checking and review of fully worked solutions.
Large photographs for double page, chapter opening spreads created visual impact at the start of each chapter. Images were chosen to link mathematical concepts to everyday living.
Nelson VICmaths Foundation Mathematics 12 was typeset using Adobe InDesign. Equations were created with MathType.

Proofreading is essential in eliminating writing inconsistencies and establishing the integrity of content. Services provided for this series included checking the layout, formatting, structure and linked components.
Chapters feature a single column layout design. Text, tables and images are laid out in text frames that are linked from one page to another. This creates a text flow which makes editing and reflowing the content safer and easier.
Nikki M Group created different types of technical illustrations including architectural drawings, isometric projections and orthographic views.
Margin links added to the Student Book. The design elements are anchored in the text flow and are linked to online learning resources (Nelson MindTap).
